So I finally got to post the pictures that I had promised. The first is of the front and the second of the back. I took a break from this project this weekend but hope to start again tomorrow now that I have buttons! Next is to figure out the neck and then pick up stitches around the collar and do stockinette stitch for an inch, jazz it up a little.
A bit of crafting did get done today. I had these curtains which I hated in my son's room. I hated them because they were hung using the clips which as anyone that has those already know clips + toddler = pain in my butt!! So I finally got around to cutting off the pleated top and shortening them to a more appropriate length and best of all..... NO MORE CLIPS!! Now if he wants to pull down the curtain he is going to have to pull down the curtain rod also. I am currently printing out some pirate clip art to create stencils with so that in the very near future I can embellish the curtains using a pirate theme. I also found out today the curtains are much wider than they seemed after the pleats were gone so instead of taking 3 panels to barely cover the window, 2 do a more than sufficient job so one set will be pirate, the other... who knows! This is good because when I get bored with one set I can hang the other. Eventually each set of curtains will have a matching quilt but that may be awhile.
