Ok so I already have told you that I am on a major hat kick. Perhaps it's the instant gratification or perhaps it's because they are so versatile and everyone needs one (or 10 for that matter). I keep telling myself I am going to knit something else, and I did that pair of socks, but I just seem to keep finding more incredibly cute hat patterns I simply must knit.
The latest project was a hat I knit for my baby on board. I saw this yarn that is self patterning and it was inexpensive so I grabbed a skein. Major selling point was the pattern on the wrapper. I rarely even glance twice at these but this pattern was simply adorable! I finished knitting it Sunday but have yet to take a picture, next post I will be sure to post a photo. I simply love this hat and can't wait to see my little one in it finally.
Since I loved that one so much I am making another one, almost identical but with worsted weight yarn. I may end up making a dozen of these, there easy and adorable.
So that makes 2 more hats and I have 3 more hat patterns that I decided I must make now and a handful more I want to make eventually. All I can say is there will never be a cold head in our house!
Soon I will take a break from knitting and work on some quilting, I have the fabric for 4 crib/toddler sized quilts that I need to make. For some reason I just can't seem to get motivated to pull out the sewing machine, I always seem to pull out the knitting needles instead :)
